Bodie, California (October 2005) - In 1870 the goldmine town of Bodie came to life. The gold boom lasted about 20 years and then slowly declined into the 1920's. In the 1930's a devestating fire destroyed some of the structures. The old mining town of Bodie became a State Park in 1960. This is the well known, and often photographed, Bodie church.
