Justice To The Poor

Sonsonate, El Salvador (March, 2008) - Along the beautiful coast of El Salvador, we stopped briefly at a roadside stand, where out of the window of our air conditioned van, I observed this young lady with damp clothing and out of breath. My first thought was that she had just come from the adjacent beach. What I saw next humbled me, as she resumed pushing a heavy vendor cart uphill with her young sister in tow. She was not there to enjoy the beach like a child should, instead she was hard at work for the family.
