A trip this morning to La Jolla proved, in spite of a threat of rain, proved to be a great photo opportunity. Bob and I set up on the cliffs for about 2 hours and enjoyed the birds.

Monday was another wonderful day at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary. We arrived around 9:15 am, and we stayed until almost 11:30 am. It rained earlier that morning, but we had beautiful weather as we walked about 3 miles of the trails. We found only 3 pelicans, but there was a good assortment of other birds to photograph.

Enormous surf in Southern California drew large crowds to the the beaches. Here is a shot in Seal Beach of a crowd running from a large wave that blasted by a sand berm. In this crowd is the camera crew for a Los Angeles TV news channel.

Another trip to the San Joaquin Wildlife Sancturary in Irvine. It was an overcast day, but there were plenty of pelicans and other fowl to photograph.

Last evening Kelly and I visited East Lake Village in Yorba Linda to witness their wonderful boat parade. Afterwards, some members of our camera club met at the president's home for some refreshments, including his wife's fantastic homebaked cookies!

This afternoon we spent time as a family decorating our Christmas Tree. This was Isabelle's first experience with this tradition. Kyle, Stephanie and Hippie hung there personal ornaments, and then we all enjoyed an early dinner at Tony Romas.

Our friends, Mark & Mary graciously invited us to share in Thanksgiving dinner. Kelly made "Dad's" famous stuffing, deviled eggs and her famous chocolate cream pies! It was a great feast with wonderful friends. We certainly have a lot to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

On Thursday the Anaheim Fire Chief took a pie in the face as part of a charity fund raising event. It was messy, but sugar free!
