The Lord Is My Shepherd

About this photo:

Crowley Lake, California (September 2005) - During a trip to the Bishop area to photograph fall colors we stopped by some of the area lakes. This is Crowley Lake north of Bishop. The lake is a reservoir on the upper Owens River in southern Mono County, California. It was created in 1941 by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as storage for the Los Angeles Aqueduct and for flood control. It is also known for its trout fishing: between 6,000 and 10,000 anglers hit the lake on opening day. The largest brown trout taken from the lake weighed 27 pounds.
