San Diego, California (May 2005) - Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery located near Point Loma overlooking the bay and city. Fort Rosecrans is named after William Starke Rosecrans, a Union general in the American Civil War. The National Cemetery sits on about 78 acres of land, and as of 2008, has over 96,000 interments.
